All parents brag about their children and rightfully so. Yet, watching these boys grow and striving to do what is right,as a parent leaves me speechless.... and for the many that know me know that hard for me to do! While pregnant with Tony, Vinny was hard at work at the age of 4 crafting ideas and helping with benefits for a little group that he himself helped co-found, " The O.W.L.S (Overlook Wild Life Society) we were proud with many residents in moving a Dog Park that would have eradicated Wild Life and Wetlands, in our quest Vinny attended Twp meetings,he would take notes and learn just how hard it is to fight for what is right. When the group was awarded our Victory, Vinny went into action and held Community Days to raise monies for beautificating the trails,planting of two fields to benefit the children in the Fall with Pumpkins and the other for the wildlife of birds and deer to feed of the corn. The OWLS hosted 4 interactive outdoor classrooms in the summer to teach the area children with keynote speakers about why protecting the habitat is vital. With the birth of Tony and his illness came with its own set of challenges, and the OWLS although thriving was put on hold. This however did not stop Vincent ,at the age of 5-7 years of age and Dominic at the mere tender age of 3, these boys got a sense of deep appreciation for children who are born with diseases and illnesses that when visiting their infant brother, they would also entertain the Pediatric Patients in the Child Life Playroom, whether it was drawing pictures of their favorite characters or just by their own antics of being brothers they helped unwillingly these children who might have needed a smile or just a friend. Vinny and Dominic both were Cub Scouts along with fundraising for others, so it came natural to them to help with finding venues for events and selling popcorn was a piece of cake to them. With their summer camp in full swing they helped with whatever they could along with helping a much needed Medical Day care with their own Community Day to raise monies for a Pediatric Playground. As the years came and went and the long admissions with uncertainty of their brother Tony's health, Tony was listed for transplant. When Vinny heard that we as a family would have to fundraise, their wheels kept spinning and put their plans into motion. Just the admiration that they have and with others of our great community who have dedicated themselves in helping Tony is just phenominal,words can not describe. Vinny & Dominic have many heroes that they look up to, but the one that stands out is Walt Disney. Not only have they studied the characters ,but the man himself and the business aspect of it all.Both Stephen and I are always humbled by the outpouring of compassion and love ffrom everyone who has been helping us with Tony's journey. I always say "How can you truly thank someone who has been saving the life of your child?" I finally think I have the answer, God has given everyone of you in our path for his reason and we are so very fortunated and blessed we are walking it alone. We love our boys with everything we have in us and more and we just love them all so. Love Mommy & Daddy !!!!!!!! Hero Replies: 0

Vinny, You are one amazing young man. The dedication that I have seen in you in the few short months that I have known your family never ceases to amaze me.
